As part of an itinerant research initiative in collaboration with How to work together, we're currently conducting and publishing a series of weekly interviews over the course of May 2015, examining and learning from the various rules and social codes of the Monastic orders and religious groups of past centuries.
So far I've conducted three interviews, one of which was with Fr. Cassian last year, the others are more recent - many of the questions I've been asking have centred specifically on The Rule, decision making processes, economics and communication between a network of monasteries.
But chatting with Bembo earlier on Gchat, I realised my own curiosity may be a limiting factor in the scope of insight we gain from these conversations - so, what do we want to know?
Given our novice status with regard to monastic tradition, what is it that we do not know, that may help us in this moment...
